A Legacy Rooted in 1952

From Mtre. Loris Nasri's founding of the firm in 1952 — the fifth generation of lawyers in her family — through Dr. Nasri Marco's assumption of leadership in 2000, the firm has preserved a documented archive since its earliest days, making it one of Alexandria's most enduring legal institutions.

A Distinguished International Academic Path

Dr. Nasri Marco earned his LL.B. from Alexandria University's Faculty of Law in 1981, a fellowship of the First Salzburg Seminar (Fulbright-sponsored) in comparative international private law, an MBA in 1994, and a PhD in International Arbitration in 1997.

Leadership in International Arbitration

Dr. Nasri Marco serves as President and Founder of the Sharm El Sheikh International Arbitration Center (SHIAC). He also sits on the Board and Executive Committee of the European Court of Arbitration, and has been an accredited international arbitrator with several other international arbitration centers since 1987.

A Global Network of Clients & Partnerships

The firm's client roster includes names such as CMA CGM, Bureau Veritas, Ramada Renaissance Hotel, and Benetton, alongside petroleum-sector companies such as CBI Chicago Bridge & Iron and T.P.L., as well as other companies and institutions across Egypt, the United States, France, Italy, the United Kingdom, Spain, Germany, and the Nordic countries — reflecting the firm's far-reaching international credibility.

Diplomatic Accreditation with Leading Embassies & Consulates

The firm holds official translation accreditations from the British, American, French, Italian, Russian, and Spanish consulates, and Dr. Nasri Marco previously served as Honorary Consul for the Republic of Uruguay in Alexandria from 1987 to 1997.

A Prominent Social & Media Presence

Beyond his legal career, Dr. Nasri Marco chairs the Nirvana Association for environmental activities in Alexandria and founded the "Mega Alexandria" Association for Friendship Among People. He has also served as media counselor to leading Egyptian publications such as El Shorouk and Business Today, and is a member of the Foreign Press Association (FPA).

Legal Awareness

The Risks of Uncertified Translation

A look at the most common incidents and legal problems that arise from relying on translations that are not officially certified by accredited legal translators

Document Rejection by Courts & Embassies

Egyptian courts and foreign embassies frequently reject documents translated by non-accredited translators, delaying legal proceedings and visa applications and causing critical deadlines to be missed.

Contractual Errors Leading to Litigation

An imprecise translation of a key clause in a commercial contract or partnership agreement can alter its legal meaning, opening the door to costly disputes and lawsuits between the parties.

No Legal Accountability When Errors Occur

Non-accredited translators are not subject to professional or judicial oversight, meaning they cannot be formally held accountable for errors — unlike certified translators, who sign and seal their work under legal responsibility before the courts.

Delays in Immigration & Citizenship Applications

Many immigration, residency, and citizenship applications are rejected due to uncertified translations of birth certificates, marriage certificates, or criminal record extracts, forcing applicants to restart the process.

Distortion of Sensitive Medical & Financial Documents

Inaccurate translation of medical reports or financial statements can lead individuals and companies into wrong decisions or legal liability, particularly in insurance and medical claims.

Loss of Trust & Diplomatic Accreditation

Some embassies and consulates stop accepting any documents from an applicant who has previously submitted an uncertified translation, damaging their professional reputation over the long term.

To avoid these risks, translations certified by Dr. Nasri Marco Law Firm are guaranteed official acceptance before all judicial and diplomatic authorities, in Egypt and abroad.
